Various Artists – Statement of Intent

Active ImageNoize:Tek presents the Statement of Intent CD compilation. Nineteen tracks which provide a taster of things to come and also pays homage to our roots. Splicing together various influences from the extreme end of the electronic spectrum, this collection of tracks snakes their way through a plethora of genres, such as;  Breakcore, Industrial, Dubstep, Gabber, Digi-Grind, Noise, Punk, Jungle and Metal to name but a few! Putting together new artists alongside established producers, with the intention to create and experiment with extreme, upfront sounds, in turn producing a very diverse range of tracks that make up the sounds of Noize:Tek!

VBR kicks off the CD, sounding like the bastard son of Sunn 0))) for the Gabber generation. Slow drawn out kick drums and intense noise build to a crescendo of beats as the machine begins to wake. Subduxtion, filtering out the noise, drops in with some Industrial tinged broken beats and dark ambient before John Pooleys experimental take on the dubstep formula rumbles into prominence, setting down some tweaked out rhythms and low end sub bass. Ronins storm washed Hardcore/Metal opus takes over, building the intensity up nicely, with one eye firmly fixed on terrorising the dancefloor. Ebola then shows why we chose his “Subsonic Armpit Mutilation” 12” as our first release…huge dark bass and hip hop influences fit perfectly alongside his finely crafted breaks. “Still Born”, Spitting Vitriol’s huge Dubstep beast, lumbers in next, slow dirty bass and washed out rave samples build up the tension before finally descending into a full on speedcore attack.

Judith Priest don’s the vestal attire and preaches his insane “Clericore” ramblings to the sinners, before Industrial giant, Hypnoskull, breaks away from his intense powernoise beats in favour of trying his hand at metal influenced Gabber/Breakcore, with devastating effect! Davros (aka Abelcain) follows with a track taken from our “Davros Vs Fanny” 12” release (NTK003). Intense hyper speed breaks and hardcore influences with a Doctor Who, Sci-Fi twist! Machinochrist hits us with his reworking of the Rabbit Junk track “February War”, soaring atmospherics and complex beats infuse with heavy guitar riffs and angst ridden vocals to create a very unique sound. Noize:Tek has the Hypnoskull Vs Machinochrist 12” scheduled to kick-start the New Year!

Fanny shows off his skills with another track lifted form the “Davros Vs Fanny” release, positively the hardest track on the record, this is how Breakcore should sound! Grindhallerxxx is $peedranch, Cardopusher and Casey “Amen” Chaos. Lo-Fi sound makes this track feel like its been spewed forth from the bowel’s of hell itself…disjointed rhythms, moshpit inducing breaks and manipulated vocal work, combine to make this one mindfuck of a track. Hi-Sex disorientates the listener even further with his sadistic noise barrage, pummelling you into submission in preparation for Leech Woman. Fronted by Alex B (sick and Twisted) Leech Woman have been lurking in the darkest corners of the musical underground for a long time now, perfecting their apocalyptic visions with reverent glee. Black Metal riffage and Noise, work hand in hand with the Industrial Punk beats and anguished vocals to create a bleak vision of our urban existence.

D.N.A pays homage to the Digital Hardcore vibe with the track “Already Dead”. The Edinburgh four piece crank up the volume with a maxed out, old school tune, clearing the way for the Grindcore onslaught of Marousa’s “Brigeria”. Furious blastbeats and buzz-saw guitars create a truly insane mix of Punk fury, topped off with Marousa’s searing vocal talents…this is brutal stuff! Marousa throws down the gauntlet to Eustachian who answers with a whirlwind of Gabber beats that never let up. Dirty Husband steps up next and tears apart the proceedings, breaking it all down to a Noise white-out. David Kirton (aka Nasakenai Douji) provides the outro with a surreal tale of excess…ghosts of 1950’s ballroom music linger hauntingly in the background as Kirtons vox drones through your mind, easing you back to reality…
We will never compromise, we won’t conform, we will continue to push the boundaries that little bit further every time, and we are here to stay – NOIZE:TEK
