Second dark industrial / electro compilation from Los Angeles based Das Bunker. ”Fifteen Minutes Into The Future” collects together many well known and upcoming acts from the electronic scene into one 16 track monster compilation – From the opening track ”NMC” from Aural Blasphemy you know you are in safe hands delivering a perfect start to the album with a short track of crunchy rhythms and simple melodies.
Next up there are pummeling, caustic dancefloor excursions from Waste ( the DJ Rekahoe remix of ” Irradiated Non-Future” ) and Converter, while Asche offer a static laden attack on the senses with the sample laden ”2nd Scrape”. Next up Discipline Unit and CombiChrist offer a hard EBM-tinged slant on the dancefloor with relentless electro tracks ”Buttmonkey” and ”Das Der Bunker” respectively – the latter especially delivering an infectious dark masterpiece of twisted electonix from one of the scenes rising stars. Next up Consume slow things down with brooding instrumental ”Dance Puppet” – all metallic rhythms, squashed industrial break beats and hilarious sound samples while C/A/T present ”Cleared Channel” an aggressive, minimalist electro outburst.
The second half of ”Fifteen Minutes..” kicks off with ”H-Bomb” a driving, repetative slab of dark industrial / harsh-electro from US industrialists Terrorfakt while Inure and Wolfbain offer menacing electro-synth, sequencer and harsh(ish) industrial workouts respectively. Closing the album Terrorfakt return with a hard EBM remix of Imperative Reaction track ”Faded Into One”, there is uncompromising power-noise from Rugitus ’terinam, harsh as hell speed breakcore from PAL ( with an underlying mellow, futuristic and icy core ), brooding dark industrial / glitchy-electronica from Manufactura while the album closer ”Axel F” from the ubiquitous Iszoloscope delivers an hilarious subversive ‘reinterpretation’ of the ‘classic’ Harold Faltermeyer track that has to be heard to be believed. In all ”Fifteen Minutes Into The Future” presents a sublime and varied cross section of some of the most cutting edge and genre-defying acts working in and around the industrial / hard electro field today, and as such comes highly recommended.
