Black Tape for a Blue Girl are busy recording some brand new material that should be out in the first half of 2004. In a post to Side-Line the band’s frontman Sam Rosenthal says: “I have been making progress in the studio, focusing on four or five songs I expect to release as a limited edition maxi-cd in a few months.” The songs will feature the whole band and may (not) appear on the next full-length album expected by the Summer of 2004. The band is also expected to appear on a Dead Can Dance tribute cd, to be released in February on the the greek metal label Black Lotus records. The band did a cover of the song “Fortune presents gifts not according to the book”. Athan sings lead vocals on the track. More news as we get it.
