Apoptygma Berzerk – Major Tom EP

Review

After far too long a time APB are finally about to release new material! And if an EP does not sound like enough for you, be informed that APB mastermind Stephan Groth is working on a new album.

Originally planned as a ‘digital download only’ release on the band’s own label Hard:Drive, the physical EP features a cover version of one of the biggest hit of ‘NDW’ (Neue Deutsche Welle) in the 80s: Major Tom by PETER SCHILLING. APOPTYGMA already played their version live on their last tour and the song was a real fan favourite!

“Major Tom (Coming Home)” is featured in five versions on the MCD and in six versions on the vinyl. Each version also includes one exclusive track: “Shadow (TECHNOMANCER Remix)” on the MCD, and an early Demo version of “Major Tom (Coming Home)” on the vinyl. The EP further includes remixes from old friends like TECHNOMANCER, PEOPLE THEATRE, ANGST POP and CODE 64. Also included is a brand new song, (the first new APB song in four years!), “Dead Air Einz”.
