Whispers in the Shadow is a Gothic Rock Band from Austria, formed in 1996. The bandname is inspired by the story “The Whisperer in Darkness” by H.P.Lovecraft. The lyrics deal mainly with occult and mystic concepts.
Their new album, following the previous “Into the Arms of Chaos” which was released in February 2008, is entitled “The Eternal Arcane” and it links and musically to “Chaos”, but expands the musical scopes of the band with new facets. Besides epic works like the 10 minutes title song and Goth rock “The Lost Souls” or “From Aeon To Aeon” the album also comprises harder stuff in the vein of “Blood, Sweat & Tears” for which the band has produced their first music video for.
