Brimborium contains 11 remixes of tracks from Tohuvabohu (KMFDM's 2007 release), a remix from 2005's Hau Ruck (never before available on CD) and one new track (created from fan's phone calls). The remixers include none other than KMFDM themselves – with entries from Sascha K., Jules Hodgson and Steve White. Also featured are remixes by past KMFDM opening acts – Combichrist, DJ? Acucrack, 16 Volt and Angelspit.
Additional remixes by industrial music pioneers Die Krupps, future electronic superstar Velox Music and Icon Of Coil/Zombie Girl legend Sebastian Komor round out the high-caliber list of contributors.
Brimborium can be loosely translated as "something with no meaning or value", perhaps a comment on most band's approaches to a remix record, but not so with KMFDM! Aside from an all-star cast heavily reworking tracks on the CD, the accompanying booklet features explosive new artwork from Brute! and liner notes that tell the behind-the-scenes story of KMFDM's Fan Phone.
Brimborium features double doses of Tohuvabohu's most popular tracks, the title cut and "Looking For Strange". The album's one all-new piece is called "What We Do For You", a title lifted from a line in the band's hit song "Light". This new audio collage is built out of samples from some of the best (and craziest) calls KMFDM received on their Fan Phone during the recording of Tohuvabohu.
KMFDM offers you yet another top-notch release that is filled to the Brim(borium) and proves once again that KMFDM are "the power you can trust!" Released on Metropolis and available February 19th, 2008.

Spawned in Germany during 1984, KMFDM pioneered the crossover between techno/dance and heavy metal with their signature industrial sound. Moving to Chicago in the mid-80' s KMFDM was the pride of Wax Trax Records during the label’s peak. Rapidly evolving year by year through intense experimentation and touring; the band has redefined themselves with each new release.
Venturing on to dabble in side projects and then re-establish KMFDM in Seattle during 1999 Sascha’s revolving band of misfits stood the test of time. Currently helmed by the dual vocal attack of the band’s founder Sascha and siren Lucia KMFDM celebrated 20 years of musical excellence by performing 62 shows in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia in 2004.
To quote themselves, “The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty”. Living by their D.I.Y. philosophy, KMFDM has launched their own online store, KMFDM Store and record label, (KMFDM Records). In 2005 they embarked on a World Tour of 18 countries in support of their full length CD Hau Ruck. 2006 saw the release of a new remix EP titled Ruck Zuck and the Hau Ruck Zuck USSA Tour with opening act Combichrist.
Now in their 23rd year, KMFDM remain a musical entity to be reckoned with. Through relentless musical exploration and reinvention they have continued to top themselves. KMFDM’s most recent album, 2007's Tohuvabohu, is no exception.
The band are prepaparing their first full blown remix album ever, Brimborium. The album features 13 tracks and clocks in at over 73 minutes running time, offering dancefloor freaks and ultra heavy beat fans a disc that is packed with remixes and never before released material. Brimborium will be available on KMFDM Records/Metropolis Records on February 19
In addition to their new material KMFDM has re-released their entire back catalog from the band's Wax Trax! Records era as KMFDM Classics via Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records. All KMFDM Classics are remastered with deluxe booklets and some contain extra tracks. Their ten classic albums, What Do You Know, Deutschland?, Don't Blow Your Top, UAIOE, Naive, Money, Angst, Nihil, Xtort, Symbols and Adios are available now.
The classic KMFDM side project Excessive Force has had their entire catalog re-released with the same treatment given to the KMFDM Classics by Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records. Both Conquer Your World and Gentle Death are out now.
The self-proclaimed fathers of industrial-rock show no signs of stopping
