Dancing Ferret Discs (Philadelphia, USA) has welcomed German medieval music band Estampie to their North American roster of artists. Estampie is an offshoot of medieval/world fusion band Qntal. Qntal are known for a blend of medieval instruments and languages with a light touch of modern electronics that is not unlike Delerium or Loreena McKennitt. Estampie uses purely medieval sounds and instruments, accentuated by Syrah’s lush vocals. Their most recent album, “Signum”, will be released in the US on May 10th, to coincide with the release of the brand new Qntal album, “Qntal IV”. Both albums will appear on Dancing Ferret’s special “Noir” label.
