Lupercalia – Florilegium

Equilibrium Music welcomes the Italian Lupercalia, whose second album, “Florilegium”, will be released today, 18th May, 2004. Some of you may be familiar with Lupercalia’s work on “Soehrimnir”, issued on World Serpent a few years ago. The band has since them moved on considerably in their stylistic approach, much due to the inclusion of Claudia Florio, an impressive soprano singer who joined founding member Riccardo Prencipe for this new release, and “Florilegium” should set Lupercalia as one of the most interesting projects in the current Neo-Classical Medieval/Gothic scene.

Press reactions have been excellent so far:

‘…everything about this album bears witness of a high level of professionalism from both the label and the band. Definitely recommended for all fans of neo-classical gothic / medieval music…’ (8/10 – Tartarean Desire, Sweden)
